Feature
For the occasional deep clean, you can boil it to displace any trapped oils and dirt that are being absorbed by the diatomite.
For a deeper cleanse, you may add Sodium Percarbonate (Not Baking soda). It uses Oxygen molecules to cleanse deep within the pores.
Feature
Our diatomite stands out due to its remarkable feature: microwave-friendly drying. Unlike typical diatomite products, which blend in plastics and fibers, our diatomites are crafted in a ceramic-like manner, fired under high temperatures. This unique composition allows for efficient drying when microwaved, offering a practical solution to moisture absorption.
Feature
If you do not have access to a microwave or simply prefer not to use one, the sun-drying method is a suitable alternative. Place the product outdoors on a sunny day, and you can be confident it will not deform.
Keep away from constant or running water, as continuous exposure can reduce drying efficiency and affect absorbency.
Place on a flat, even surface to ensure proper support and help reduce pressure points that may cause cracking.
Use on a firm surface only. Soft or cushioned surfaces can create uneven support and increase stress on the mat.
Bulbul’s diatomite products are crafted without chemical bonding agents, using natural minerals and diatomite.
Due to its natural characteristics, each piece may have slight variations or unique details. These do not affect performance and add to its one-of-a-kind charm.
Please be aware that these properties contribute to the uniqueness of the material.
As such, it is important to consider these characteristics before making a purchase, as products with these natural variations will not be accepted for exchange or refund.

The product may appear powdery out of the box due to the natural composition of the materials. Gently wipe it clean with a damp cloth before use. Using force to wipe may cause abrasions. The product should be kept dry; do not wash before use. Mold may grow if the product is left in a wet place for long periods of time.

The absorption rate and performance of Modular Bath Mat may vary based on usage intensity. Here are some care tips to maintain peak performance. You may dry under the sun once every 1 to 4 weeks or when needed. For a deep clean, remove the ceramic blocks from the plate and boil the ceramic blocks in boiling water for 15 to 30 minutes. Additionally, you may add 1 tablespoon of Sodium Percarbonate. Leave blocks under direct sun until completely dry. The ceramic blocks are made up of fine pores, make sure it is sufficiently dry before use.
In case of stubborn algae or stains, gently scrub with a sponge or fine-grit sandpaper to remove them. If it is a liquid stain that is trapped deep within the material. Use sodium percarbonate and boil it for 15 to 30 minutes. Make sure it is completely dry before use.
To speed up the drying process, you can place the ceramic blocks inside the microwave for 2½ minutes in 1000 watt power. You may microwave again for 2½ minutes if it is still wet. (Please note that oven/microwaving with trapped soap oil, dirt, and/or any foreign materials may leave burn marks on the ceramic block). Do not microwave the plastic plate. Diatomite will be hot after microwaving, take caution when handling the diatomite.
You can oven dry the diatomite products under 180°C heat for 5 minutes. If product is still wet or holding water within, you may place it inside the oven for another 5 mins. Do make sure the oven’s fan is turned on for an even spread of heat. Heating Diatomite only on one side may cause it to warp.
Broken pieces still retain their property. Re-use the broken pieces as dehumidifiers for your wardrobe or shoe cabinets to give the broken pieces a second life.
📌 Don’t wash before use - Keep dry; washing before use may cause mould if left in a wet environment. Follow care instructions for stain removal.
📌 Do not use force to wipe - The surface may have a powdery texture due to its natural composition. Gently wipe with a damp cloth to avoid abrasions.
📌 Do not wash with detergent - Fine pores can trap soap, reducing performance. To restore, boil with sodium percarbonate or until the water runs clear.
📌 Do not microwave the bath mat plastic plate from bath mat - Please remove the blocks for deep cleansing, and do not place the plastic parts in the microwave or oven.
📌 Do not carry the bath mat with one hand. Please handle with care. - Always use both hands to prevent loosening joints or breakage.
